Whack-a-Mole is tangible dermatology game.

The game features an arcade style custom controller to add an additional level of interactivity.  Skin conditions flash up on the screen in correspondence with six of the buttons on the controller.  The player is required to hit the button within the time limit, if the skin condition has to be removed.

The installation was built to be part of a conference booth and was considered very popular amongst the delegates.

Normally the event’s games are made for mouse and keyboard, but I decided to try something new by creating the arcade controller from a keyboard encoder and a hand built box. I also designed the gameplay and created the graphics.
